Don Gregorio Martínez (RIP), born in May 1956 in San Baltazar Guelavila, was a fourth-generation mezcalero who chose early on to carry forward 120 years of his family’s tradition, guided by his father, Juan Martínez García, through the traditional aprendizaje method. Don Goyo passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Today, his two sons, Eduardo and Rodrigo, continue the family legacy, carrying forward the tradition and technique they learned from their father and maestro. This batch stands as a tribute to a gran maestro and his enduring heritage.
